flash horror fiction (up to 1000 word) Special Issue.

Femmes - SF, Fantasy and Horror featuring strong female characters. Please be aware we are looking for 1st British serial rights and 1st online serial rights. If your work has been previously published anywhere please state this clearly. By
submitting your work you are agreeing to these terms. Please
send submissions as word documents. All material should be in standard
manuscript format: 12 point Times Roman, left justified, 1" margins all around, double spaced, paragraph indents, no space between paragraphs, with a header on each page giving your name, the title or a short form of it, and the page number. Please

mark your email Special Issue Submission and state the theme. Two
submissions maximum at a time, please. Fiction:
Minimum 800 words - Maximum 3000 words. We
are looking for original, inventive fiction that bends genre boundaries. We want
a new twist on the theme. Traditional stories will need to be truly brilliant to
be even considered. Artwork:
For Special Issues we will be using stand-alone artwork rather than story
illustrations. We will have limited space for colour artwork, and for several
black and white pieces of art. If you have a completed piece ready we would be
happy to see it. If you have a piece in mind we would be happy to see a sketch. Sequential
Artwork: We would recommend contacting us before commencing work. We would like
to see previous comic style work and a story outline. All
submissions should receive a response within two weeks. If you do not receive a
response after two weeks please feel free to contact us again. We
DO NOT accept previously published work for special issues. We
DO NOT accept simultaneous submissions. Payment is 1 complimentary copy of the issue you work appears in.
